The government is going to confiscate 400 vehicles imported despite the ban on the importation of vehicles

Nearly 400 imported vehicles have landed at the Port of Colombo despite the ban on the importation of vehicles.

The Sri Lanka Customs has sent a letter to the Ministry of Finance inquiring whether the number of vehicles will be confiscated or not.

The Customs Department said in the letter that the vehicles were ordered after the government banned the import of vehicles in September last year and that the vehicles were currently against the law.
