A meeting between the spiritual leader of the Bora community, Dr Seyedina Mufaddal Saifuddin, and President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa took place this morning (11) at the President’s private residence in Mirihana.
Nearly one million members of the Bora community live in several countries, including India, Pakistan, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Sri Lanka, and Australia. Saifuddin said he was pleased to visit Sri Lanka as a country he loved so much and would continue to do so with his followers.
Comrade praised him and said that he looked forward to the development of Sri Lanka.
President Rajapaksa thanked the Bora Community Leader Saifuddin for his contribution to the covid Performance Fund and appreciated the contribution of the Bora Community to the Sri Lankan economy through investment and trade.
Chief Adviser to the President Lalith Weeratunga and several members of the Bora community were also present at the meeting. – Presidential Media Unit
