The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) states that the government has entered into several agreements regarding the Kelawarapitiya Yugadanavi power plant Secretly.
The leader of the party Anura Dissanayake has requested that all these agreements be revealed to the country immediately.
He added that the cabinet had decided to hand over the gas supply pipeline system and the floating storage system to an American company for more than 50 years.
Former JVP MP Nalinda Jayatissa said that by handing over this power plant to the United States, the United States has been given the opportunity to park its own ship on the West Coast.
He added that this was an opportunity for the United States to gain a foothold in the South Asian region.
