A stock of Moderna Vaccine imported to Sri Lanka today

1.5 million doses of the Modarna vaccine manufactured in the United States were delivered to the Katunayake International Airport today.

Sources from the Katunayake Airport said that the consignment of doses was brought by a Qatar Airways flight.

The vaccine was donated to Sri Lanka by the United States of America under the auspices of the World Health Organization (WHO) “Covax” program.

Accordingly, this is the first time that the Moderna vaccine has been brought to Sri Lanka.
