The Navy has arrested nine persons with 200 kilos of heroin.

The Police Media Spokesman stated that the value of the drugs seized in the Mirissa Modara area in Weligama is more than Rs. 2 billion.

The drug was packed in gas cylinders and sacks and brought to Sri Lanka by a multi-day fishing trawler, the police spokesman said.
