Controversial 2021 Mrs Sri Lanka beauty queen Pushpika de Silva has stated that she does not accept removing her crown and that an individual opinion cannot change a jury decision.

She said this in response to a letter published by Mrs Sri Lanka for Mrs world National Organizer Chandimal Jayasinghe regarding the removing of her crown.

Pushpika says that she has not received the crown yet and that it is in a jewellery shop and therefore she is not wearing a crown to remove.

She argues that she has not yet responded to the legal documents sent to her and that the crown cannot be removed in such a context.

however, some media reported that the head of Mrs World organisation in America had made a note praising removing Pushpika’s crown. She also praised the work of Caroline Jury
