India has provided over US $ 900 million in foreign exchange assistance to Sri Lanka.

 It is reported that this assistance has been provided to strengthen the foreign exchange reserves of the country.

 In addition, Sri Lanka has extended the payment of another US $ 500 million due to India under the Asian Clearance Arbitration Framework.
