Steps have been taken to appoint Reka Perera as the new Chairman of Litro Gas Company.

 Secretary to the Treasury S.R. Mr. Attygalle has informed this to the Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation.

Copies of this letter have been sent to the Secretary to the President, the Secretary to the Prime Minister and the former Chairman of Litro, Thushara Jayasinghe.

The new chairman, Renuka Perera previously served as chairman of the Housing Authority and resigned due to a disagreement with a state minister.

Mr. Renuka Perera is also the Administrative Secretary of the Sri Lanka People’s Front.
