Nuwara Eliya District Parliamentarian Nimal Piyatissa, who has been elected to Parliament from the Sri Lanka People’s Front representing the National Freedom Front, has fought with supporters of the Sri Lanka People’s Front.
The dispute was sparked by a controversy over a development project.
Nimal Piyatissa is the Chairman of the Regional Development Committee.
