The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) has strongly objected to the decision to hand over full control of the Corona Pfizer vaccination to the Sri Lanka Army

The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) has strongly objected to the decision to hand over full control of the Corona Pfizer vaccination to the Sri Lanka Army, said its secretary Dr. Senal Fernando.

He said that the method of vaccination, distribution and distribution of vaccines should be done by the health sector.

He emphasized that all decisions in this regard should be made at the Center for Epidemiology on Vaccination, established by Dr. SM Arnold, Deputy Director General of Health.
Therefore, I strongly oppose the decision to give full powers to the Army regarding vaccination, said Dr. Senal Fernando.

He said that a written notification was sent to Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella yesterday (30) requesting him to take necessary steps to rectify this irregularity as soon as possible.
