No patients were abandoned during home quarantine – Specialist Dr. Lal Panapitiya

It has been reported that some people who are under house quarantine for covid-19 infection are acting without proper medical supervision.

 The Deputy Director General of Health Services, Specialist Dr. Lal Panapitiya stated that no person should resort to house quarantine without informing the health sector.

 Meanwhile, Dr. Geethal Perera, a specialist in respiratory diseases, said that there is a risk of developing mutated virus strains in Sri Lanka due to the high density of covid-19 virus.
