The time has come to build a crematorium in Sri Lanka that can cremate between 150-200 bodies a day, says Prof. Suneth Agampodi.
He says the situation has arisen with the government’s decision to challenge the delta variant of the corona virus.
He is a Professor in the Department of Oncology, Faculty of Medicine, Rajarata University and is well known as an Epidemiologist and Researcher.
He has made these comments while posting a statement on his Twitter account.
The Sri Lankan government took a bold decision to challenge the Delta variant. It is time to build a mass cremation facility with a capacity of 150-200 a day as a part of this challenge.
