Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga says that the government is focusing on accelerating the flow of tourists to Sri Lanka.

Minister stated at a meeting with representatives of 25 airlines that the implementation of a new plan to accelerate the influx of tourists to the island will expedite the reconstruction of the crisis-ridden tourism sector.

The government aims to attract a significant number of tourists to the country by the end of this year and will focus more on how to implement health guidelines in a more planned manner.

The airlines focused on how to provide a relief package to tourists so that they can attract more tourists in the short term at the meeting.
