The second dose of Pfaizer vaccine will be given to people over the age of 55 and 50,000 doses of Sputnik V arrived to Sri Lanka

A 50,000 doses of the Russia-made Sputnik V
vaccine, which were brought from Gamalaya Medical Plant in Russia, were handed over to the Sri Lanka Pharmaceutical Corporation at the Katunayake Airport this morning (07).

Meanwhile, the second dose of Pfaizer vaccine will be given to people over the age of 55 who have taken the first dose of AstraZeneca in the Colombo city limits from today.

Minister of State Prof. Channa Jayasumana stated that there is no need to be afraid to take the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
