The number of deaths at home due to corona infection is increasing rapidly, according to the Sri Lanka Medical Association said.

Its chairperson, Dr Padma Gunaratne, says that due to this, deaths at home can be reduced by going to a hospital as soon as respiratory illnesses or suspicious symptoms arise and seeking the necessary medical assistance.

“After being hospitalized, there is a big role to be played in saving lives,” she said, adding that it would be easier to save lives if such actions were taken promptly.
