The Mrs.world International pageant will go ahead in Sri Lanka in December this year as scheduled national Director for Mrs.sri Lanka for Mrs.world, Chandimal Jayasinghe stated said.

The issue happened at the crowning moment wil not have any impact on the upcoming pageant he further added.He said these after recrowned Pushpika De Silva as Mrs Sri Lanka who was uncrowned by Jurie on Sunday night saying that she is a divorcee.

He said that there is no change in plans by the Mrs World organisation that is why they have accepted the crown being given back to Pushpika De Silva.

But news sources said that Pushpika’s divorce case is expected to be taken up almost six months before of the international pageant in December.
