Two browsers containing Substandard oil seized; Trucks did not carry a Customs seal

Sri Lanka Customs Director General Major General G. Vijitha Ravipriyasaid that,the two bowsers containing substandard coconut oil was seized and handed over to Customs Authorities today.

Dankotuwa police had seized two browsers yesterday and the Sri Lanka Customs Director General Major General G. Vijitha Ravipriya him self had inspected the bowsers and they were brought to the Customs under police protection this morning and the two drivers of the bowsers were also arrested by the Police.

He also rejected the media reports that said saying trucks were sealed by the Customs and he clarified that the trucks did not carry a Customs seal. He also explained that seal belongs to the private companies which handled these stocks.
