Supporters of the Sri Lanka People’s Front (SLPP) who had come to the ‘Gotagogama’ protest site in Galle Face have launched a massive attack on the area.

Measures have been taken to remove the attics and set them on fire.

Police fired tear gas to control the situation. Several injured people have been admitted to the hospital.
