Former Minister Athauda Seneviratne passed away

Former Minister Athauda Seneviratne passed away this morning (31).

Seneviratne was 90 years old when he died while receiving treatment at a private hospital in Colombo.

Athauda Seneviratne entered politics from the Lanka Sama Samaja Party and was later elected to Parliament representing the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.

He was the Kegalle District Leader of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party for a long time and was a senior politician who held a number of ministerial posts including Labor, Youth Affairs and Mineral Resources Development.
