Indias interference to Sri Lankas politics-13 amendment should be fully implemented and make the Tamil people proud..- India tells Sri Lanka

India states that provincial council elections should be held as soon as possible to fully implement the 13th amendment of the Constitution and transfer powers to the provincial councils.

India also expresses its concern over the non-provision of a political solution to the ethnic problem in Sri Lanka.

 Indian Permanent Representative Indra Mani Pandey expressed these views while addressing the United Nations Human Rights Council session that started in Geneva, Switzerland.

He further said that in the opinion of India, peace and reconciliation in Sri Lanka can only be brought about by a political solution and it should be done in a united Sri Lanka in such a way that justice, peace, equality and pride in the Sri Lankan Tamil community.
