Political Crisis in Sri Lanka-The North East needs an interim administration- Mr. Douglas Devananda

Mr. Douglas Devananda, Minister of Fisheries, states that there should be an interim control for the Northern and Eastern Provincial Councils.

He also said that every political party representing the two provincial deputy provinces should unite for the interim administration.

He also points out that the necessary provisions for the establishment of an interim administration are already in the Thirteenth Amendment of the Constitution.

The term of office of the provincial council has ended and the governors are currently running the provinces and as a result, it is not possible to make successful administrative decisions about the people.

He further said that a successful approach can be achieved by creating an interim administration to bring a solution to the national problem in the North and East.
