Sri Lanka won the second and last Test cricket match between Sri Lanka and visiting Pakistan which ended today at the Galle International Stadium.
After Sri Lanka scored 378 in the first innings, Pakistan were bowled out for 231 and in the second innings, Sri Lanka scored 360 but Pakistan could not achieve the target and were bowled out for 261 in 77 overs.
Prabhat Jayasuriya took 8 wickets and Ramesh Mendis took 8 wickets throughout the match. Chandimal’s 80 in the first innings and Dhananjaya de Silva’s 109 in the second innings also contributed to the victory.
Because Sri Lanka lost the first match, the Sri Lanka Pakistan series was tied 1-1.
