Economic Crisis in Sri Lanka-IMF imposes a serious condition on Sri Lanka

Krishna Srinivasan, director of the Asia and Pacific Department of the International Monetary Fund, says that Sri Lanka should start negotiations to restructure the debt of about 6.5 billion dollars owed to China.

In an interview with Reuters, he says that China is a big creditor of Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka should actively engage with China for debt restructuring.

He has also mentioned that the negotiations for Sri Lanka’s economic crisis are moving forward.
