Fuel Shortage in Sri Lanka- Another ship carrying 40,000 metric tons of diesel reached Sri Lanka

Another ship carrying 40,000 metric tons of diesel reached the island yesterday (16) night.

The petroleum storage terminal said that the diesel unloading of the ship has already started. However, the distribution of new oil stocks will not take place until the registration for the National Fuel Permit is completed.

Meanwhile, Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said yesterday that a ship carrying petrol will reach the island on the 18th or 19th.

The Minister of Energy mentioned that all these fuel ships have been paid.
