A special message from China to Sri Lanka

China decided to increase the number of flights between China and Sri Lanka. Accordingly, China will operate three flights to Sri Lanka from this week.

SriLankan Airlines also offers frequent flights to China. Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Qi Zhenhong made this observation when he called on President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa at the Presidential Palace in Colombo.

The Ambassador briefed the President on the economic and humanitarian assistance provided and expected to be provided by the Chinese Government to Sri Lanka.

Steps have been taken to provide opportunities for Sri Lankan medical students studying in China to return to China. Further development of bilateral trade and economic activity was discussed at length.

The Ambassador sends a special message from Chinese President Xi Jinping to Sri Lankan President.

President Rajapaksa appreciates China for its support as a friendly country in the face of the economic crisis facing the country. Chief of Staff to the President Anura Dissanayake was also present at the time.
