I will not resign from the post – of Gotabhaya Rajapaksa

President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has stated that he will not resign from the presidency at all. He has stated this in a discussion held with a group of high ranking government officials. The President has stated that he is acting by the constitution of the country.

His Eminence Cardinal Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith says that not giving up will destroy one’s own life as well as the lives of others. The cardinal said this while attending a service on Good Friday.

The main service commemorating the suffering and sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross was held at St. Lucia’s Church, Kotahena on the afternoon of the 15th.

“What Christ says is to give up .. to give up .. to be legally free from everything we have. At most, we can live to be 100 years old. So why do we all grab these resources, these objects, this power, this greed and make our lives miserable and others’ lives miserable without giving them up? ”

President should address the nation- Namal Rajapaksa

Sri Lanka People’s Front (SLPP) MP Namal Rajapaksa has said that the President should address the nation under the current circumstances.

He also says that the President should take steps to reveal his plans to the country through that.

“The president needs to work hard with his team now. He is already doing it. The President should address the nation and announce the current plans to the country.
