The National Athletics Selection Tournament begins today at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo.

The tournament will be held for 03 days. This is the first selection of the 2022 Asian Games and the Asian Youth Games.

According to the Health Guidelines, arrangements have been made to hold the tournament with the participation of a limited number of athletes, said the President of the Sri Lanka Athletic Association, Major General Palitha Fernando.

More than 800 athletes from both the senior and junior divisions will take part in the tournament.
