The European Union (EU) has called on the Sri Lankan government to lift restrictions on the import of goods into Sri Lanka

The European Union (EU) has called on the Sri Lankan government to lift restrictions on the import of goods into Sri Lanka.

They point out that many European products have been barred from entering the Sri Lankan market due to the import ban.

The request was made during a discussion between representatives of the association and representatives of the Government of Sri Lanka.

The Government of Sri Lanka has taken steps to impose an import ban on non-essential goods due to the shortage of foreign exchange in the country.

The European Union (EU) and the World Trade Organization (WTO) have previously expressed dissatisfaction with Sri Lanka’s import ban on trade, saying that trade is an exchange between two parties, not just one ‘s purchases.
