Colombo Mayor Rosy Senanayake has filed a writ petition against Mrs Sri Lanka Pushpika de Silva seeking compensation of Rs. 500 million.

Rosy Senanayake has stated in the affidavit that her reputation has been damaged by saying that she had influenced the final results of the recently concluded Mrs World pageant.

She has also requested a public apology from Mrs Pushpika de Silva for the statement.

 In the affidavit sent through her lawyers, she has informed that if she does not pay the compensation and apologize within the stipulated days, she will file a case in court.
