Putin warns US

Russian President Vladimir Putin has accused the United States of trying to push Russia into war in Ukraine.

According to the international media, this is his first statement in a few weeks regarding the problematic situation that has arisen.

Putin says the United States intends to create a conflict situation and use it as a pretext to impose more sanctions on Russia.

He added that the United States was ignoring Russia’s opposition to NATO troops stationed in Europe.

Russia has so far deployed about 100,000 Russian troops, including munitions and fighter jets, near the Ukrainian border.

Therefore, a tense situation has arisen in the international political arena as well. But Russia says it has no plans to invade Ukraine.

But Russia’s annexation of the Crimean peninsula, which was under Ukrainian rule about eight years ago, and Russia’s military support for the rebels in Ukraine’s Donbass region are viewed with suspicion by the international community.

Russia accuses Ukrainian authorities of failing to establish peace in the eastern region.
