The resumption of operations at the Sapugaskanda oil refinery has been postponed until the 30th

The resumption of operations at the Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery will be further delayed, the Ministry of Energy said.

Secretary to the Ministry Ms.D. R. Volga said it would be able to resume operations by January 30.

The operation of the Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery was scheduled to resume from tomorrow (27).

However, it is reported that the delay was due to the delay in the arrival of the ship with crude oil.

The ship belonging to the Singaporean company, which has a long term contract to supply crude oil to Sri Lanka, was scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka on the 24th.

The ship is scheduled to arrive at the Port of Colombo today (26), the Ministry of Energy said.
