A man was strangled to death over a family dispute at a wedding party. It was in Tissamaharama, Virahela area.



The husband of the deceased’s eldest daughter had beaten the daughter’s father to death yesterday (16) following a dispute with family members during a wedding ceremony.



 The deceased has been identified as a 54 year old resident of Padavigama, Lunugamvehera.



The suspect has been identified and has fled the area, police said.



Tissamaharama Police is conducting further investigations.
