A Tik Tok video killed a boy

A youth has been stabbed to death in the Madampitiya Lane area in Grandpass following a dispute over a video on a social media network, police said.

The deceased has been identified as a 17-year-old resident of Wellampitiya.

The stabbing had taken place in the Madampitiya Lane area yesterday (03) afternoon and the victim died after being admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.

 This young man with two of his friends walking towards the Henamulla Randiya Uyana apartment complex on Madampitiya Road.

 Police said the young man, who was following them, was attacked with a sharp weapon by another group of acquaintances.

Police say the stabbing was the result of a dispute with the victim over a Tik Tok video.

 The suspects have now fled the area and Groundpass police are conducting further investigations to arrest the suspects.
