Members of private security agencies are an integral part of the country Secretary

General of Defense Kamal Gunaratne says that the private security service makes a tremendous contribution to national security.

 The Secretary said that with the expansion of security needs to a wider range in the recent past, private security companies will be making greater contributions to ensure the national security of the country.

This was stated by General Kamal Gunaratne addressing the Annual General Meeting of the Sri Lanka Defense Providers Association in Colombo.

Defense Secretary General Kamal Gunaratne said that nearly 150,000 members of private security forces have become an integral part of the country as partners in ensuring Sri Lanka’s national security.
