The Renewable Energy and Electric Transport Promotion Subcommittee appointed by President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa to identify and implement the use of renewable energy in the transport sector and the challenges posed by the Solar Wind and Hydro Generation Project Leadership Project Development The State Ministry stated that the matter was discussed during the meeting.
The main responsibility of this committee is to explore the potential for increasing the use of renewable energy in Sri Lanka to 70% by 2030 and to popularize the use of electric vehicles.
