The Economic Times reports that India is preparing an emergency aid package to help Sri Lanka overcome its massive economic crisis.
It added that the aid package would cover a number of areas, including food and health security, energy security and exchange.
It also aims to further promote Indian investment in Sri Lanka.
The Economic Times further reports that this step was taken after the visit of the Minister of Finance Basil Rajapaksa to India recently.
