Serious questions have been raised over the “One country One Law” Task Force appointed by President Gotabhaya Rajapaks with its Chairman Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thera continuing to threaten other Buddhist monks over the phone.

Another recording of a telephone conversation between Gnanasara Thera and another Buddhist monk, Kirulapona Dhammawijaya Thera, is currently being circulated on social media.

According to the recording, Gnanasara Thera threatens to visit the residence of Dhammawijaya Thera and physically harm him.

Criminal intimidation is an offence under section 483 of the Penal Code of Sri Lanka and Gnanasara Thera is seen flouting the country’s law regularly.

President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, the person who appointed Gnanasara Thera as the Head of the Task Force, is yet to take action on the errant Buddhist monk.
