Sri Lanka beat West Indies by 12 runs in the Super 12 round of the T20 World Cup yesterday (04). Batting first, Sri Lanka scored 189 runs for the loss of 3 wickets.
West Indies won the toss and elected to bat first. Charith Asalanka scored 68 runs while Pathum Nissanka scored 51 runs for Sri Lanka.
In reply, West Indies were bowled out for 169 in 20 overs for the loss of eight wickets. Nicholas Pooran scored 46 and Shimron Hetmeyer 81 not out for the West Indies.
Binura Fernando, Wanindu Hasaranga and Chamika Karunaratne took two wickets each for Sri Lanka.
