The Sri Lankan President said that the guaranteed price of paddy could be increased from Rs. 50 to Rs. 150 today and that was his aim

President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has said that if Sri Lanka could be introduced to the world as the only country in the world to engage in agriculture without the use of chemical fertilizers, it would be enough to attract tourists.

He added that through this a good market could be created for these products. The President also said that it has the potential to increase foreign exchange.

The President said that the guaranteed price of paddy could be increased from Rs. 50 to Rs. 150 today and that was his aim and that it should be targeted.

He was speaking while inspecting the Udubaddawa Bunnehepola Organic Fertilizer Processing Center and organic farms yesterday.
