Former President Maithripala Sirisena has requested the government to hold the provincial council elections soon.
He said these while he was speaking to the media after the Central Committee of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party was held yesterday (15) afternoon.
“We discussed accelerating the reorganization of the SLFP as the corona epidemic draws to a close. Accordingly, we request the government to hold the Provincial Council elections soon. The program to strengthen all sections of the party was discussed. Commodity prices have risen sharply. People are under a lot of pressure. Is in a difficult situation. The poverty of the people has increased rapidly. The problems of the people are very acute. We need to give solutions. I do not believe there are immediate solutions. There are solutions to them in a planned way. ” he said
