Price of a domestic cylinder of Litro gas should be increased by Rs. 1200 and a gas cylinder should be sold in Sri Lanka at a price of Rs. 2800- The National Coalition for the Protection of Litro

The National Coalition for the Protection of Litro says that the price of a domestic cylinder of Litro gas should be increased by Rs. 1200.

The gas company has incurred a loss of around Rs. 10500 million in the last 9 months alone.

As a result, they say, Sri Lanka will not be able to import gas if the Treasury does not release the money by November.

They say that due to the increase in gas prices in the world market and the exchange rate, a gas cylinder should be sold in Sri Lanka at a price of Rs. 2800. They are already selling at a huge loss.
