The Bureau of Foreign Employment (BFE) will pay for the PCR examinations conducted at the airport for foreign employers

The Minister of Labor Nimal Siripala de Silva has stated that the Bureau of Foreign Employment (BFE) will pay for the PCR examinations conducted at the airport for migrant workers returning to Sri Lanka from foreign employment.

The Minister made this statement at a discussion held at the Ministry.

Commenting on this, the Minister of Labor Nimal Siripala de Silva stated that PCR tests will be carried out at the new laboratory at the airport premises for these foreign heroes who have earned foreign exchange for our country while working abroad.

Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva said that the Bureau of Foreign Employment had decided to pay $ 40 for the PCR tests in recognition of the service rendered to the migrant workers.

Speaking at the event, Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga said that the main objective of the program was to conduct a PCR test and enable the heroes to return home within a short period of three hours.
