Hector Kobbekaduwa Agrarian Research Institute (13) revealed to Agriculture Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage that 96% of the data provided by the Agrarian Services Department on the distribution of chemical fertilizers to farmers during the past period was incorrect. .

The Kobbekaduwa Agrarian Research Institute informed the Minister that the survey report has been submitted to the Agrarian Services Department.

 Speaking at the event, Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage said that a research conducted by the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Peradeniya on the use of fertilizer in the Nuwara Eliya area has revealed that farmers in Nuwara Eliya do not need to use fertilizer for their cultivation until two years have elapsed.
