Indigenous medicine is becoming popular in the world. We must be ready to take full advantage of it now- Mahinda Rajapaksha

The Prime Minister instructed the officials to set the standard of indigenous medicine and Ayurveda by keeping the research results before the world, said the Hon. Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa made this observation while participating in the opening ceremony of the Rajapura Ayurvedic Hospital at Sirigala, Moneragala  via video technology.

Minister of State Shashindra Rajapaksa inaugurated the Rajapura Ayurveda Hospital by cutting the ribbon and later visited the hospital.

 The Moneragala Rajapura Ayurvedic Hospital, which treats many non-communicable diseases locally, has the facility to treat up to 40 patients at a time.

External and inpatient care at the hospital will be provided free of charge to religious leaders, including Buddhist monks.
