Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister Yoshitha Rajapaksa has denied reports that his own gas company is preparing to start a business in Sri Lanka in the near future.

He says that there is a rumor that the reason for the gas shortage in the country is a basic plan by his own gas company to take over the local gas market and he completely rejects it.

He added that some people were once again trying to deceive the public by creating fake news with attractive headlines.
