Lohan Ratwatte, Minister of State for Prisons, Management Rehabilitation and Gems said the large gem found in Ratnapura had received a $ 500 million order from China.
He said that the jem was a sum of nearly 1 billion and the value of the gem did not officially disclose without properly assessing.
He also said that the value of this gem is very high according to such orders.
However, the Minister of State further said that this bunch of gems will be sold for the highest demand.
