Sri Lanka Cricket has announced the recommended penalties for Kusal Mendis, Niroshan Dikwella and Danushka Gunethileke.

Based on the recommendations of the committee appointed to investigate the disciplinary allegations against them, the Executive Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket has decided to take such action against them;

A fine of Rs. 10 million each A one-year international cricket ban and a six-month domestic ban. After one year of the international ban, another year international ban has been imposed and it has been suspended for two years. Compulsory psychiatric counselling under a physician prescribed by Sri Lanka Cricket.

However, previously Kusal Mendis and Danushka Gunethileke have been banned from playing cricket for two years and Niroshan Dikwella has been banned from playing cricket for 18 months and fined $ 25,000 each
by the disciplinary committee appointed to conduct a disciplinary inquiry into their misconduct during the tour of England.
