The exhumation of the body of Ishalini has already begun


The exhumation of the body of the girl who was burnt to death while being employed as a servant in the house of Rishad Bathiudeen has already commenced.

The girl’s body was buried at the Hatton Dayagama Public Cemetery and the body is being exhumed under the supervision of the Nuwara Eliya Magistrate.
The body will be taken to the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital for a second post mortem.

 The Nuwara Eliya Magistrate’s Court yesterday (29) ordered that the girl’s body be exhumed and sent for a second post mortem before a medical board by the quarantine instructions with the participation of the Grama Niladhari in charge of the relevant division and the Public Health Inspectors.
