The world’s largest ‘star sapphire’ has been found in Sri Lanka, the BBC reports.
It was found while digging a well on the land of a gem merchant in Ratnapura.
The report also states that the gem is worth around US $ 100 million in the international market.
The gem weighs 2.5 million carats, or 510 kilograms.
