There is no use in watching old matches repeatedly, we should manage our cricketers well – Sanath Jayasuriya

Former Sri Lanka Cricket opener Sanath Jayasuriya has said that it is no longer practical to watch the victories played by the Sri Lankan team twenty-five years ago.

He said that everyone should be committed to creating a situation in which the current Sri Lankan team can be proud in the same way. He also said that a great deal of sacrifice has to be made on the part of the cricket authorities as well as the players in this regard.

He added that the current players in the Sri Lankan team are also very talented and they need to be properly managed. He also said that he was not reluctant to show the sportsmanship of the Sri Lanka team during his time, but that the current team should also be brought to a higher level.

He said this while joining a program with Sirasatv
